It’s been theorized that if experts properly train AI models to focus on AI R&D (Research & Development), then in 10-15 years we may attain AGI (a form of sentient artificial intelligence) which will be able to then be able to make human-like decisions at an exponential rate.
We’ve seen technology increase rapidly over the last century and AI (which perhaps we’ll call something else in the not too distant future) is predicted to increase the rate of technological advancement at an unprecedented rate.
For those of us sick of living in “unprecedented times”, I’m unsure we’re going to get much of a break from that for, well, the rest of our lives. It may be worth getting used to change happening faster and faster with the knowledge that time is an abstract concept that we actually do have some control over depending on our personal actions/choices and hope we go about daily life.
