Pitchfork did it better (this time)

 A note about Pitchfork's Best Albums of 2020

My main takeaway here, other than that this list includes more albums that I found invaluable in 2020, is that it reminded me how much I've been enjoying Destroyer's Have We Met. Maybe it's because I've been living with this album for a little while already. Have We Met was released at the end of January 2020 in the "before times." No one needs a reminder this has been a longgg hard year. Even though this Destroyer album was released pre-covid, the tone has felt on point during the pandemic and, I believe, will have staying power.
