We are on the same page of the cookbook. I wish i could convince N not to overbuy everything, but particularly produce. The only thing I cook with leftovers in mind is soup. My kitchen must-haves are olive oil. butter, lemons, soy sauce, a wide variety of herbs and spices. My secret ingredient is Herbs of the Provence. Also, dry beans, not canned. In fact, nothing canned.
