Loved this installment, Mark. I’ll say this regarding AI: from a corporate white collar professional standpoint, jobs are absolutely disappearing. The quiet part is already being said aloud. Business leaders race each other to be the first to reap “savings” (heads) by deploying AI. I’ve been in the rooms.
Thanks for weighing in on this, Crystal. I'd be interested to hear more. I've been doing... unsettling amounts of research on AI... For one thing, very much hoping that the worst case scenarios outlined in stories like 'AI 2027' turn out to be avoidable. Meantime, we have to live our lives.
My understanding is many AI thought leaders are already stating clearly that there will be massive job losses in the next few years. Not hearing a lot of strategic plans for what we can do to avoid pain for the average worker.
