These lists are always infuriating, in part, because of the subjectivity and, in part, because you're going through waiting for certain songs to "inevitably" appear and when they don't you're kinda dumbfounded. It's...frustrating. My standard issue is the cross-genre competition. It just doesn't make any sense to me to try to make a list that includes various genres even if they fall under the umbrella of "pop" or "rock" or "hip hop", etc. Easy to compare classical music to classical music but we'd run into the same frustrations if someone was saying that X symphony was better than a X Miles Davis song. How can you compare?
